Java Joy
Well, it just seems that coffee consumption has had yet another validation - a study presented at the American Chemical Society's national meeting states that for Americans, coffee is our #1 source of antioxidants. This great link is from my weightlifting mentor Mistress Krista.

Now, they do mention that it is not clear whether or not coffee is the prime source of antioxidants that find their way into the bloodstream, but in terms of just pure amounts, its the cuppa black gold, baby.

Two side effects that were noted even make it better for me personally - possibility for increased heart rate and blood pressure - two factors which I am already borderline LOW on. Nifty.

Yeah, the American Cocoa Research Institute has no ulterior motive here.

That study is misleading. It should have been entitled, "Americans should eat more fruits and vegetables." I'm sure that Americans get most of their protein from fast food "meat" patties. Doesn't make them a healthy protein source. Caffeine is a harmful & addictive drug. Depletes B vitamins and calcium, causes anxiety, ulcers, etc. Capitalist nations have every reason to keep people coffee-addicted. Less sleep = more cubicle time = more production/consumption.

Workers of the world unite! Fill your mugs with water & feel the true clarity of a body/mind unaddled by caffeine!

I believe there are far worse things that you can consume for/with breakfast in the morning than coffee. With that, I'll say no more....
