Aww, thank you!! I can't believe I singlehandedly inspired such gelato fanaticism, but of course I'm thrilled to have done so. I haven't made the gelato myself in quite a while, but next time I do, I'm going to take your suggestion and add some sweetened condensed milk. Somehow it makes everything taste better, doesn't it? ;)
