Tenacity Manager, Personal Trainer, MMA/BJJ Instructor
Jon grew up in South Pittsburg, TN. After earning All-State honors, as a football player, he began training in Mixed Martial Arts in late 1999.
Jon enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University, and while studying for his Bachelor's Degree, he began to make trips to Nashville and Smyrna to train Mixed Martial Arts and Submission Grappling. He also joined the MTSU Wrestling Club for three seasons to further understand all aspects of grappling.
Competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and no-gi Submission Grappling, Jon won several tournaments throughout the state. He began teaching in 2004 while in college and has coached several amateur MMA champions in the area. He has travelled to places like New York City and San Diego to train with some of the world's best: Erik Paulson, Brandon Vera, Rich Franklin, Allan Goes, Ryron Gracie, Rob Kaman, Carlson Gracie Jr., Israel Gomes, Renato Tavares and more.
Jon is qualified to teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts and wrestling. Jon obtained his Personal Trainer Certification in 2008 under the American Counsel on Exercise (ACE) and is competent in several methods of training for all combat sports.
Jackie Thompson has been a fitness instructor for 13 years. She has been practicing yoga for 3-1/2 years. Jackie graduated from Chattanooga Yoga School in October, 2014, as a certified yoga practitioner and hopes to inspire others as she has been by practicing yoga.
She currently teaches HOT POWER YOGA and Beginners Power Yoga at Tenacity.
Micah Sparacio is passionate about helping people reach their own personal fitness goals in a natural and healthy way.
For the last decade, Micah has helped coach individuals (both young and old alike) into a fit lifestyle and his current focus is on natural nutrition (eating the way humans are meant to eat) and functional fitness (being able to do the things humans are built to do). He also offers sports-specific training with a focus on range of motion, explosiveness and sports specific movements. At Tenacity, he offers individual consultation and coaching to form a long-term, personalized fitness plan.
Alice Roberts has always been involved in some type of physical fitness, starting at a young age. She started participating in Zumba two years ago and was intrigued with the fun and enthusiastic nature of the classes. It wasn't long after that in 2013 that she decided she wanted to teach Zumba. She then received her certification in Zumba Basic fitness.
Alice's ultimate goal is for women of all ages, who participate in Zumba fitness classes, to reach unexpected fitness goals in every session. She teaches to step out of your comfort zone and your mind and body will surprise you. It is 60 minutes of fun and excitement and working every muscle without realizing it!
Alice resides in Monteagle,TN with her husband and son and a little girl on the way. She loves being an instructor and the reason is simple: Every class feels like a party! Come join her and you will see what she means. You do not even have to know how to dance. Just move your body and follow her lead! Just try it... you will have a blast!
