A very long day in the San Juans

Here are a few pictures I took on my longest training run before pacing Eric Robinson at Hardrock. I went about 30 miles and it took 12 hours. I got REALLY sunburned...

LOOKING DOWN ENGINEER GULCH
Self portrait looking from Engineer Pass down towards Bear Creek Canyon on the way to Ouray. That's where I was about to go...
LEARNING TO GLISSADE
Where I learned (or at least tried) to glissade... somewhere in the trees on the way to pick up Bear Creek Trail.
ENGINEER MOUNTAIN
Hey! I found the trail... looking back at Engineer Mountain.
DEAD FAWN
One of those creepy but neat things... found this dead fawn right on the trail. It was the size of a large rabbit (which is what I thought it was at first), probably a runt and soon-to-be cougar snack.
